Tears

What do your tears mean?
I hate saying goodbye.
but I didn't really say goodbye,
I didn't say much of anything.
I didn't know what to say,
Then I saw your tears.
I'm afraid I ran away, boy.
afraid of what they might mean,
of what they might say.
we didn't talk much tonight.
I said alot, but not to you.
when will I see you next?
and will I feel different from today?
because today felt like nothing at all.
